What is the difference between Facebook Groups and Facebook Pages?

When you have facebook, whats the difference between "Pages" and "Groups?

    There isn't much of a difference, really. Pages are things you become a fan of, groups are things you join. Groups have the ability to send messages to the inbox of all members, which is particularly helpful if it is actually a group with a purpose such as a school club.

Facebook groups are less interactive and rather more personal. You can send messages to all members, you can write on the wall of the group....But, the postings on the wall will NOT show up in the news feed.Only if you go to that group you will see the postings and updates. Facebook pages allow more interactivity firstly because the postings shows up in all its fans news feed. I like becoming fans of fan pages because there's lots of them out there, and it's faster [: For example, some stores & products like Skittles, Dr. Pepper, Target and etc... have fan pages but some random people make groups like, "I Love Eating Skittles!" and so on. I personally think fan pages are better because I have 200+ fan pages & it doesn't waste my space on my Facebook wall and when you join groups, it extends your Facebook profile a little longer [:

THe difference between a page and a group is just that the page is a little more professional. Also, I prefer joining pages because it takes less time than joining groups. This is because when you join a group, the link takes you straight to the group page which is really annoying to me.
