My facebook chat messages go to my inbox!?

So I have a question all my IM chat messages go to my inbox so my question is if my chat messages go to my inbox if i message them from my inbox and not IM would they get it im talking about if my chat messages go to my inbox but instead of going on my IM to talk i sent a message through my inbox to my IM is that possible?
