Does Hotmail still have automatic account closing?

Help with closing a hotmail account?

• I need help with closing my old account cause it isn't "professional" as the hotmail account i have now, and so i try closing it but it comes up with this "One or more paid services or a Microsoft Points account is linked to your account. To close this account, make sure each service is canceled and your Microsoft Points account is closed" so i have changed my xbox account id to my new hotmail but it still comes up with that, any suggestions?

  If your Hotmail account is associated with a paid service 1- type this to your browser http://support.ninemsn.com and sign in with the e-mail address and password which you want to cancel 2- Under “Subscribed Services / Sign In” click the link for the product associated with your Hotmail account that you wish to cancel (for example, Hotmail Plus, MSN Dial-Up Internet Access, or MSN Premium Internet Software) 3- Click on “Cancel My Account” which you will find under "task" 4- Follow the instruction on that page to cancel your paid service associated with your Hotmail address.
