How do I make my search bar default to Google?

  • Hi. When I used to type into my search bar at the top of my browser (Firefox), it would give me either a Google results page or it would do the "I'm Feeling Lucky" thing and take me to the first site that matched. I loved that. I think I downloaded something, so now every time I search for something, it takes me to "http://ww11.charter.net/search?qo=" which is "powered by Yahoo." I hate it, and I tried absolutely everything to get it to go back to Google, including regedit, setting to default in Firefox preferences, deleting all instances of Yahoo on my computer, and getting rid of the new programs I installed. ANY ideas will be greatly appreciated. I never knew how much I loved Google before I had to go through this other search engine. It won't even give me a link to Google if I type it in!!

    you have a spyware in ur pc dude.go to start menu, run, type "msconfig" select start up tab from the window, and find the spyware location and delete it. Restart and it should take care of the problem.
