How do I search for an underage person on Myspace?

I have a friend who is 16, he lives in a different state then I do. I can't seem to search for him on myspace. I only know the state and his first name.. How should I go about finding him? I already typed in his name and did a search in the same state, but it popped up over 500 diff people... There's gotta be a better way of looking for him.. Any suggestions?

I remember when i started my myspace, they didn't allow people under a certain age.... try searching anyways
