How do random people like my tumblr posts?

How do i comment on people's posts on tumblr?

i'm new to tumblr & i only see a little heart sign and a reblogging sign.. i've read that you have to reblog it & type in at the box & which box is it ? will it leave a comment or it is adding to what the person said ? i'm getting frustrated about it.. i've read the other questions about this & i didn't get it because it wasn't stated clearly.. thanks! ^^

You can't comment on peoples' posts like on facebook or whatever. You can only reblog it and when you click reblog it'll pop up on your screen and you can add to whatever the original person had. It's unfortunate that they don't have a comment thing though. I think if the poster puts a "?" in the title then they can allow for responses though.
