How bad does a foot tattoo hurt?

So I read "The Great Gatsby" during my junior year of high school. I never really enjoyed books I read in high school, except Gatsby and Of Mice and Men. I want to get the cover of the Great Gatsby on my foot. I've heard that the foot is a very painful place for a tattoo. I have a tattoo on my wrist that is about 2 inches long and 1 in across. Didn't hurt bad and I heard that the wrist hurt. My dad has both of his feet tattoo'd but said that the tattoo over his heart hurt the most. So overall, how bad does the foot hurt. Try to only give answers if you have MULTIPLE tattoos or one on your wrist as well

the most painful tattoos are the ones by bone or nerves. so knuckles feet and ribs. it also depends on pain tolerance
