Why does my shoulder hurts when I lift my arm up?

Sometimes when I lift my left arm above my shoulder, I get pain in my chest where my heart is. It hurts alot.?

  • I am ONLY 19 years old. This has been going on since I been 17. I ate steak today with broccoli and steak sauce if that helps. I dont know what is happening.

    Does the pain feel very sharp, frighteningly sharp, near/under/below your left nipple, making you afraid to move or breathe, but then dissapears within seconds/minutes? If yes, then you're absolutely fine. But in any event, bad pain in a single spot that you can easily identify CANNOT be a heart problem. It just cant. Heart problems feel like this squeezing, crushing, gasping pressure that radiates out. I'll link you to an article about the thing that would cause such pain. I do hope it meets the definition of your pain.
