A good SAT score for a student interested in attending a private university?
-
I got a composite score of 2010 (690 on reading and 660 on both math and writing). Would that be good enough for a private university like SMU? Or should I take it again to try to improve my score (and maybe study for the test this time... lol)?

Answer:
Universities look at the whole package. There's no cutoff score. If you have an excellent GPA and not so excellent score one can make up for the other. Essays and extracurricular activities weigh heavily too. You're score is good but if you feel you can improve, then why not do it?
