After arthroscopic knee surgery, can't straighten?

I had arthroscopic knee surgery on Thurs Feb 12th. I had it to remove scar tissue that was rubbing on my bone of my kneecap, causing it to wear away. My OS said that I would start exercising it the day after. I did. And I'm not in any pain at all really. I have been walking on it (with one crutch) since yesterday. But, I can't straighten it. Right now, I'm in a recliner, and the thing is popped up, so my feet are out in front of me. But obviously I don't sit with my legs completely straight. they're both bent a little. My OS said I would need to be able to straighten my knee all the way. But I can't. I have been trying. But when I start to, I get to a certain point and it feels like its tightening up and I don't want to push it. Am I just scared or should I wait til my appt on thursday to discuss this?
Answer:

Decreased range of motion is common following arthroscopic surgery. Just wait until your appointment and tell the ortho about your concerns. He will probably recommend physical therapy.
