Small bone chip in the elbow?

Whats wrong with my elbow?

  • I'm a 15 year old girl. I broke my elbow almost 5 months ago, radial head fracture. But still since the injury, I'm having pain, and when I try to fully extend my arm and then bring it back in, it clicks, I feel and hear something move, and it hurts. My doctor scheduled me to get an MRI to make sure it wasn't a bone chip, but she says she didn't see anything on it. She wants me to see a sports medicine doctor tomorrow. Do you think he'll do surgery? I'd rather him just do that so that there's no more pain, its frustrating that they don't know what this is because I thought it'd be healed by now. and i already did physical therapy, but they told me i didnt need to do it anymore

  • Answer:

Thats actually sometimes normal. My dad broke bones and a year after they still hurt. Your doctor should know more about this and be able to help you. I broke my wrist six weeks ago, but it healed quick because It was just a fracture. Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

jus go to ur doctor... there the only ones that can help u out...

Sounds like the bones were not put back correctly. I feel your pain. My daughter had a similar problem. After three arthroscopes, the surgeon decided she had a torn minuscule. It took him three years to figure that out. I think you are correct. Unfortunately, more surgery is indicated.
