I think I pulled a muscle in my leg, what do I do?

So, I have dance team try outs April 26th-30th. And I NEED my splits. So I started stretching like crazy and ended up getting them. But I pulled a muscle in my groin area. My friend told me not to stretch for a couple days. So I haven't for 4 days. But it still hurts. Will stretching make it go away? Cause I need to get back to stretching for these try outs..

Gentle, gentle stretching will help. Be sure to warm up and wear warm clothes when you do. Self massage and ibuprofen help.
