At the gym, I felt a stabbing pain in my back and my abdomen started throbbing immediately. Pulled muscle?
-
I first felt something odd while doing seated rows, but nothing to pay any special attention to...but when I moved to leg presses, on the first push back, I felt a stabbing pain in my back that shot through to my abdomen. The pain started throbbing and the area is unbelievably tender now. I quickly became nauseous and that has not gone away. Just a bad muscle sprain or should I call my doc tomorrow?

Answer:
Your symptoms sound a little unusual for it to just be a pulled muscle. I'd definitely call your doctor tomorrow unless things are getting much better by then. If your symptoms continue to get worse then you should go to an emergency department in case you have something serious developing in the abdomen.
