How to recover from a groin injury?

  • So Last May 2011, I was doing sport non stop week in and week out and I never stretched and stretching is crucial I know that now. Furthermore In my football training session I went in for a slide tackle and as far as I know I pulled my Groin, then I didnt think it was that serious so I kept playing sport every week and doing football matches up until Just before Christmas, I then was assigned to see a sports physio In the start of January and she assigned me to do stretches every day 10 times twice a day, I am now in mid Febuary and it hurts like hell still and I still cant run and it hurts and I havnt done sport since just before christmas. Now what I need is a doctor or something to give me ice on how to recover from this groin injury because football/soccer is my life and it means everything to me I want to make a carrear out of it! can somebody help me I beg anyone out there with experience in this injury It makes me so sad watching my team playing and I cant play.

You may have torn it. An Ostiopath may be appropriate. Phycal therapy will make a world of difference. If it is torn, you need to make sure that you don't stretch too aggressively as that can aggravate the injury.
