What do I do if my nail has a crack?

I hit my big toe nail square on a crack in the side walk, now it turned purple under neath the nail. Solutions?

    Just let it be. I damaged my one toenail one time and i left it alone, a few days later a new nail was growing underneath it.. then the old nail shmurfed off. xD May sound disgusting but...Thats how nails make babies. Oh. Just wash it incase :]

my aunty had one of those too. it always turned better after 1 month but one day it didn't (7 months). she went to check it at a clinic and had to remove it (big toe nail). doctor said 'the old nail is preventing the new nail from growing'. now it's getting better.

This happened to my brothers thumb. He tried hiding it from my mom but then the nail just started comming off. A new one grew back. My brother says it feels really sensative but i dont remember him saying it hurts. You should see a doctor though so it wont get infected.

ick ! sorry i have no solution but that just sounded disgusting, liquid ? Yuck.!

Go to the docter and get it checked might be a infection by the sounds of it :(
