Why cant we all open our eyes?

I was going to write up a along thing but I had to leave and the answer was not complete. I am not going to write it up again. Since you are the manifistation of all intelligence, you should have no problem thinking about this. "when you critisize somebody, no matter it be riligion or their shoes, they are going to get angry at you, especially if ther are alot of bigots that feel as though they are right and smarter than others" think, seriusly, with your 63 year old eroded brain, think before you judge others.

Well the world would certainly be better if more people thought this way....or at least questioned things a bit more. Im not saying any religion is bad, right, or wrong Im just saying it has caused way too much unnecessary grief across the world for all of recorded time! What church says we came from a distant planet in outer-space ? That is where people need to start going. NASA should be able to write the real bible soon hopefully. HA! No but seriously why is it that humans cannot escape hate for one another?? It makes no sense at all.

I find what you say as heartwarming thoughts. On, God, I have to pay tribute to governments. The advantage to an off planet god is that they don't exact any tax, except to follow physics, common sense and the rules of the mind, our interface with the outside world. Do you see what I mean? For instance, if you say you believe in a power outside this planet, you don't have to go to war, churches don't pay taxes and the idea gives you strength to resist social insanities. It's like putting reason first, but not anyone else's, but they won't let you do that, hence the need of a higher power, because that is all they recognize for you to have your independence. It's a rational choice, but I find religions to have turned sanity into insanity and the freedom religion is supposed to bring you, they turn into enslavement to some denomination, when the complexities of the universe are too beyond us to ever name or denominate them all. An open mind is necessary for the daily complexities of life, but as you say, we need a value system too. The mind, in the background, has put one together. If that sounds odd, you might consider that science is now saying that most of our thinking is done subconsciously or, as I call it, in the back of your mind, because you can bring it up with intuition and emotions. When emotions, through something like cognitive therapy, and the intuition are put in line with reason, we do better in everything. Unfortunately logical people often aren't good about emotions and we aren't either. The information we need for the times and all to come. I see more and more people getting your viewpoint, while many, who don't keep up, are floundering. They just don't know what they are doing. I dont understand what you mean. Your starting to make it sound like my belif is controlling my life. I wasn't born into the belif I have and I wasn't brainwashed or anything. Just beacause someone has a faith, it doesn't mean they are brainwashed and dont feel like they can be themselves. Why would you try to all your life show people why they should not worship their diety? To alot of people, their belifs are important to them. By taking that away, you taking a peace of themselves. and i'm talking all religons here. Religon has a big impact on people, for good and for bad sometimes. But just beacause i dont believe in Buddism, that doesn't mean I will go to a Buddist and try to tell him not worship his diety, just beacause I believe in another or none at all. no one has a right to do that.My belif doesn't hold me back from being myself and it's important to me. I'm not into organized religon,and my life isn't completely absorbed by my faith either. I dont play by all the rules and have made my own belif system just as you have. But just beacause mines is different than yours, that doesn't mean I need to "open my eyes". Open my eyes to what anyway? That you have your own belifs and lifestyle and i have mine? I knew that a long time ago. Everyone believes in something else. atheism, Theism, it's all a belif system. And there's no right or wrong when it comes to a belif system. The only eye opener we need is the fact that everyone has their own belifs, and that none are more beter than the other and we should not push our belifs on each other. And i dont think Religon is what causes the worlds problems. I think it's just people using Religon to fuel their power hungry and controlling minds. Even if Religon were gone, these traits are in human nature and wouldn't leave. Besides, most Religons dont even preach the things half the "followers" do. It's not Gods fault (I'm gonna go with the abrahamic God for this one) that his followers dont practice what they preach. It's their fault, not his. And just beacause god hasn't made the world a perfect place, or gives everyone what they want, that doesn't mean he is evil or whatever. God isn't like some Santa Claus that gives you what you want when you ask it. And just beacause you believe in God, that doesn't mean bad things wont happen to you. I usuall dont care about what other people believe as far as Religon/Evolution goes, but i just dont like it when people use these reasons to bash God or whatever Gods. But whatever i guess. i usually dont get into it with people when it comes to this stuff, wehter it be Evolution or Creationism. they both have holes in their theory's and in the end, we cannot prove or disprove that their is a God or Diety. only the dead know, so my advice is to live your life according to how you feel you should, and accept any concequences along the way and we'll see what happens when we are dead.
