Why do so many Hispanics only use debit cards and cash and never credit cards?

• I work the front desk at a hotel, and i swear.. 95% of all our guests who are Hispanic pay for their stays with cash or debit cards. Normally, regular guests just leave a credit card on their room and just put their charges on them. Almost every Hispanic guest we've ever had at the hotel refuses to leave a credit card on their room because they say they don't own one which is a problem because the hotel requires all guests have a credit card on file just in the event of damages. Almost all the guests who don't have credit cards at our hotel are hispanic and I can't figure out why, there must be some reason behind this. My co-worker and I were looking at our arrivals list and we saw 4 last names that were hispanic... Hernandez, Lopez, Abelo, Gonzalez, and we bet each other that at least 3 of the 4 guests wouldn't have a credit card and sure enough actually all 4 of those arrivals did not have credit cards and insisted on paying everything with cash when nearly every one of our other guests used credit cards, why is this?? There must be some reason behind this

  Because they are smart enough to realise that america is in financial turmoil and don't want to have debt like the idiots that just used credit cards. No offence but its true. I have credit cards and i have banks, do the calculations and see how much money the get out of you without you even knowing
