Will this amp work?

Will my sub and amp work in my 09 corolla?

  • Basically, I bought an 09 corolla, and the stock stereo sucks. Obviously. The rear speakers are 20 watts each, my old car with stock was 35watts. I placed 250 watt alpines in the front and back of my accord, with an alpine deck (CDA something), then a Kenwood 1000w max with a 1000watt max Alpine Sub woofer. (R series, dual voice coil set at 2 ohms) My other car was a Honda Accord 91 EX. With the stock alternator, upgraded battery with stock cables, it ran my system flawlessly. Unless I had my AC and lights on of course. With all that, the lights and everything would dim. I had a volt meter that I could watch move as the bass hit. With just the amp playing, it ran fine, only moving the meter a little. I sold that car, and took out the amp, sub, and wiring. (they gave me crap for my car so I took all the good stuff). If I put all new speakers, new deck, and put my sub/amp in the corolla, would that be wise? I noticed the battery cables are pretty pathetic. And the Battery is really pathetic. Its only 324 CCA. (My Honda was like 700 something, and I was going to go higher but I sold it) Or, should I get a weaker sub/amp, thats say, 250-350 watts max, with 250watt speakers to an amp? (4 normal speakers, 2 tweeters) Amp/sub - 250-350 Speakers - 4x 250w without amp Alpine CDA 9887 deck. No Sub 4x 350w speakers with amp CDA 9887 Kenwood/Alpine amp/sub 1000w 4x 350w speakers and amp CDA 9887 Im just not sure with this new car. Kinda scary with all the crap electronics randomly placed in it. Lights on all the time, security, etc. I do like alot of bass, but the problem also is the trunk is filled with stuff for my job. So I could move stuff around to fit what I have, get one like my sister that takes up almost no space, or just forgo the sub all together and just put nice speakers with an amp. Anyone able to help me on this? I have to do something to the stereo system, because I drive alot of miles. But what is the scary part. What would you do? And what is safe to do?

Pioneer have loud speakers that don't waste electricity.

It will work with a battery upgrade, other thing is maybe instead of a battery upgrade you could either get a bigger altenator and a second battery or keep all the settings low and see how it performs with no upgrades, Caps really don't do much so forget those, but a better alternitive (and cheaper) would be a 5 channel amp that will draw less amps because its all powered from 1 unit
