Quick question about options on back of amp?
-
So I recently purchased an Alpine MRP M500 amp and I'm wondering about one of the settings on the back. There's minimal, nominal, 2, 6, and 12 hz. I could be wrong about the numbers, but what does it mean exactly? The sub pushes 500 watts at 2 ohms, which is what I wired it to, but how high up can I have that setting and allow it to play safely without it blowing?

Answer:
sounds like a base adjustment that's all set to where it sounds best to you head unit vol about 1/3 or so when desired sound is achieved go back and set you gain in normal fashion to avoid clipping your amp
