My car stereo is making a static noise?

The speakers in my car started making a strange loud static noise. Almost like an engine sound but static?

  • It happens when the volume is up or down and the static stays the same volume . Its coming from all of my speakers. I have 8 speakers and 2 woofers. I cant really tell if it comes from the woofers. I have 2 amps, 1 for subs and 1 for mids and highs. Sometimes I can turn the power off to the head unit and it will go a few minutes and then start up again, but mostly it happens anytime its on. Its a newer system, like 3 months old but it just happened a few days ago. Not that it has anything to do with it but I have SIRIUS ran to my head unit as well. Anyone got any ideas what it could be? Thanks in advance!

  • Answer:

sometimes if you run all your wires together (power, remote, rca, ground) it will do this try seperating these or check your ground and other connetions. If you have your amps bridged try turning your levels down or un bridging them and turning them up.

you might have blown em out but also like whatever tha other dude said you may have the bass turned up to loud. check all your connections and mess with your bass treble and all that also check your connections to your speakers if you installed them they may be loose even if you had them done by pros they can still do that then

you probably set the thingy i forget its name the one everybody says not to put to high...
