Are My Speakers blown?

The speakers in my 97 town car dont sound blown but Im unsure?

• I have a 1997 lincoln town car that I am fixing up, i havent upgraded the electrical system, speakers, subs, amp, or anything yet, its still stock all around, it comes stock with 4 speakers and a amp thats in the trunk, I was wondering if the speakers are blown or if the amp's low pass switch is turned downed? They get really loud, its just that it doesnt have bass and i was thinking since it gets loud that speakers cant be blown but im not sure because i dont know that much about car audio yet, if there is a way i can still turn the bass up on the amp or if there is something wrong with it can somebody let me know, any help is much appreciated

  Check and make sure the amp is hooked up and getting power. There should be some lights on it to tell you when on. Are the speakers wired to the amp? If so, then obvisouly the amp isn't blown because you said the speakers get loud. Check the radio, if its aftermarket there's most likely a bass setting for the car speakers and certain eq and sub settings for the amp, make sure they're on. There should also be certain controls on the amp itslelf and make sure those are up as well. Doing all that and making sure the amp is wired with power (power and ground) and the amp still won't turn on, it may be blown. Tip: You may also want to check the amp fuse and in-line fuse if you have one.
