Can you give any ideas for a costume party?

Costume ideas please?

  • I have a costume party coming up and i have no idea what wear. I want something somewhat original not cliche like a devil or something. I want something sexy but not trashy, can you give some ideas please?

    Hi Gail, I take it there's no theme for the party? If you want something sexy without being trashy why not go for a 'Hollywood' type theme and get glammed up? Sexy doesn't have to mean showing *all* your flesh! I also really like 1920's style, have you thought about going as a flapper girl with tipped cigarette holders, feathers and stockings? Sexy pirate! I wore this costume to a Halloween party and my boyfriend couldn't keep his eyes off me. (: I wore a pirate-y blouse/shirt, little black waistcoat, black layered skirt, fishnet stockings and knee-high black boots. Lots of jewellery and a pirate hat complete the look. I didn't have my boobs spilling out or anything so it wasn't really trashy, which is good because I'd have hated that. You could go for a sexy vampire (they're always sexy in media/literature so it's a good excuse to flash some flesh or go for a sexy but refined look. There are a lot of sexy costumes on the internet if you type in "Ladies' fancy dress" or throw the keyword "sexy" in there. I'm sure you'll find something. Good luck and I hope you look great. (:
