Hotmail hacked, can it be saved?

Someone has got into my hotmail account and as you can now link accounts together, has linked my account with theirs, so whether i change my password or not this person is still reading my emails Can my hotmail be saved or am i going to have to go through the annoying pleasure of closing my account and telling my address book my new email??

Answer:
I don't think you can get it back but even if you can for my own piece of mind I would change my email address and provider. it always seems to be hotmail that gets hacked to.
