How do I get rid of a firewall blocking my Limewire?

Limewire question - McAfee firewall blocking access?

  • I have a Windows Vista and my windows firewall is disabled because I use McAfee which I set to allow limewire full access, and yet when I try to download it says limewire is still behind the firewall. I have no other firewalls and nothing else is working (the uninstall-reinstall, disabling the firewall, etc.) Help?

    Hint #1: use Bittorrent ( http://www.bittorrent.com/ ) for your downloading (search on sites like http://thepiratebay.org ) Hint #2: Don't use McAfee (its such bloatware). Use something like AVG Free ( http://free.avg.com/ )

go to the firewall settings, then click on exceptions then check limewire

umm y even bother using antivirus protection if you're going to be downloading viruses and crap from limewire anyway? lol
