Home day care license ?

  • i live in western ny and i watch one toddler and i have a toddler myself who stays home with me. hrs i watch her are from 8:30am to 3pm my question is how many kids including my own do i have to have in my care to require a license and also to be concerted a home day care

    It depends on your state. Here in VA you are allowed 5 infants till you have to have another person to help you, like 7 toddlers and so on. You have to do alot of work to get your licenses for a in home daycare. Just search the laws in your state

It's different for each state. I live in WI and can only take in 3 kids before needing a license. You can contact a childcare licenser or an insurance agent to find out how many kids you can take in. Usually the number doesn't include your own children. You can contact these people and they should know something about it.
