Why is napping after eating bad for you?

Why is my Newborn cat napping, and eating sooo much?

  • I'm a new Mother and my Son is two months. He just started sleeping through the night (thank you Lord). I've noticed for the past two weeks he's been acting rather strange. He's been cat napping throughout the day but only 10-25 minutes at a time. When he does wake up, he acts cranky like hes not getting enough sleep. I mean he is always laughing and smiling but when he wakes up he just acts crabby. He also is starting to eat more and more. Like I'll give him a 4 oz to 6 oz bottle of milk, then a hour later he is wanting more milk. I have brought this up to ourPediatriciann but says he might be ready for cereal. We already give him a tad at night only. So what do you think this could be?

  • Answer:

The pediatrician is CORRECT! Mix up a small amount of baby rice cereal with milk (the consistency of gravy), feed to your son with a baby spoon and then give him his formula (NEVER add cereal to a bottle - it will cause a baby to choke and terrible lazy habit to break). My first born was on baby rice cereal (gravy consistency) at 10-days of age.
