Help ASAP is my chinchilla sick/DYING?

He's been acting real strange. I gave him his food he ate a VERY little amount. He has been drinkin a TON of water. His poop seems fine. He is acting really jumpy(lets me pet him a VERY little amount then runs away. And i know the chew,but he has been chewing EVERYTHING and he usually doesnt do that. Is he sick? He's really young,around 1-2 yrs. Is this just a phase PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you may want to get him into the vet and have him checked especially his teeth.

My guinea pig had almost the same problem and I took him to the vet and they said he had parasites among other things... Take your chinchilla to the vet ASAP. This can be cured but only a certain length of time that it is curable...
