What's a good cockatiel cage?

  • i want to get a cockatiel really badly but i cant find the write cage every website i go to says something different! one says the cage needs to be aqt least 18 x 18 x30 and others say 24 x 22 x 30 whats the write size needed? and im hoping for a black one without the stand a simple cheap, zinc-free cage with virticle and horizontal bars that are 1/2 or 3/4 of an inch or w/e i need help finding the right one thank you for your time and help

    basically what can you afford? how many cockatiels are you planning on getting? (if you go to school or are gone for more than 8 hours a day i would recomend getting 2 as they can get lonley and bored and might start feather plucking) the bigger the cage the better:) as long as you can afford it? dont worry about having too much room! but i would say the 24x22x30 would be good! hope i helped:)

depends how much freedom you are going to give it if you leave the cage door open so it's a base it doesn't matter if you are going to keep it prisoner the bigger the better , cockatiels need to be allowed out to fly round the room to keep their muscles and wings and airsacks in good condition

i found a website called kijiji. its a website for used... well almost everything! dont get me wrong, all the stuff seems brand new. this may sound gross, but you save so much money, and the quality is better than some you can buy from the store. you can even buy the cockatiel on the website aswell. its for people who love their pets but cant look after them anymore. my friend bought her cockatiel from someone on kijiji and she loves him. trust me, its a great website, and i would highly recommend checking it out. :)

Simple. Just go to your local pet store and search through the cages. Whichever one says it's suitable for a cockatiel will do. Also you can ask the people there they will know too.
