Comcast internet & internet TV don't get along?

My new comcast internet wont work please help?

• I ordered a comcast internet self install kit which has just came ups today I try to get it to work by following the directions it dont work the power light and link lights come on while the ds light blinks all other lights stay off. I called and they cant come out and look at t for a week I just got it could someone please help me now. I only have comcast internet by the way I dont have a home phone and I have direct tv television Internet is the only comcast service I have please help me with this

  First off you must connect that modem directly to a comcast cable line. NOT the direct TV cable line. Comcast is usually aerial, so follow the line that attaches to your house. If you have buried cable you will have to find the location where it enters the house. Fairly simple operation IF you already have a comcast line ran to your house. There may be a chance that you cable was physically disconnected at the pole/buried box as well. And if that is the case you will require a truck roll.
