How to block people on Xbox live?

Can't connect to Xbox LIVE? What to do?

  • Alright, so we just moved, and we won't have internet for 8 days. Now, for people like me who use Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Netflix and of course, Xbox LIVE daily, you could see how this could be a problem. Anyway, a friend of ours is letting us use her internet until we get ours going, but she is a block away from us, so the connection isn't that strong. But anyway, when I tried to connect to LIVE, it says something along the lines of, "We can't find an IP Adress from your router or modem. Go to your router configuration page and turn on DCHP" Now, she is out of town and we have no way of finding the IP address from her directly. But we are connected to her network. Is there a way I can find the address to get to the configuration page? Thanks.

I looked on xbox live and this is what I came up with... If you want to connect your Xbox 360 console to Xbox LIVE and you do not have a router, you can connect to Xbox LIVE by connecting your console to your computer. There are two ways you connect to Xbox LIVE without using a router: Use Windows Internet Connection Sharing. Create a network bridge connection. Go to http://support.xbox.com/en-us/pages/xbox-360/troubleshoot/kb/error-cant-obtain-ip-address-router-modem.aspx?kbid=978976 and http://support.microsoft.com/kb/978618/ PS. I feel your pain.. I would DIE without my xbox live! I use it for Netlix, magic the gathering and MUCH more... my gamertag is MissShortyd :)

You have to acess her router which you can't do legally so you will have to enjoy the fresh air for a week, you made find some other interests?
