Ipod Wifi Help (Connecting Wifi)?

  • Okay! So, I got an Ipod touch, and Im trying to set up the Wifi for it, but the thing is, I don't know what code I use for Wifi? Where do I find the code? (By the way, I have a Linksys Router) Can someone please help!? Thanks :)

    Who set up the router? The person that set it up had to decide on a passphrase/key. If your Linksys router is second hand, then you'll need to download the user manual and read through it to figure out how to: 1 Perform a factory reset 2 Enable WPA2 security on the wireless network 3 Change the default password for the router admin account 4 Anything else that the router suggests to secure your network.

OH i know this one.. This happened to me recently, IF you dont know the code. just look in the back of the router and there should be a button that says reset, press and hold the reset button with a pen for like 15 seconds maybe more and it will erase the password. and if you want to put a new password go to this in the address bar of whatever browser your using. 192.168.1.1 and dont put www. or .com... then a popup is going to umm pop up. and say username and password. both the user name and password should be admin it is all in lowercase letters. then just go to management and put a new password..

Basically, it is something that was chosen by the person that set-up the router, if you don't know it, the only way is resetting it... If you are lucky, you are running a computer that connects via wireless and you could click on the wireless connection and un-check the box that says "hide characters" to reveal your password or check the box that says "reveal password" for the same...
