Where do all of my downloads go?

How do I get my downloads to go to my second hard drive?

  • I have two hard drives: my main one(C:) and my second one(D:). C: drive has only 950 MB left and so I need to direct my downloads to my D:, which has 178 GB of free space. I've gone to "Tools<Options" and changed the location of the downloads to D:, but when I download, it will download to D: but the file will take up space only on C:. I need help and I've tried looking everywhere, but no answers. How can I make D: the default drive where my downloads go AND make it so that the space is taken up in that 178 GB of free space? Also, I'm operating with Windows Vista.

  • Answer:

Open your windows explorer, do a single click on the downloads folder then click the "Organize" tab. On the drop down menu, choose properties. A box will pop up then click the "Location" tab. From there you can set your preferred download location. Peace out.
