Where to sell broken electronics?

Want to sell a graphics card but the fansink is broken what should i do?

  • i have a used 3 yr old radeon x600 pro 256 mb that i want to sell to some shop that buy used computer parts...but the fansink is broken (the propeller thingy went off, what should i do? should i repair it myself first then sell (get a fank sink spare part), or just sell the way it is (not sure if they will want to buy a gfx card with broken fansink), or is it pretty much a junk already? The thing is, the shops here are quite well known for tricking people, yeah all of them. they will probably get from me for a very2 low price for the reason that the fansink is broken, then repair themselves for a low cost and sell the thing for a relatively high price. i know im not gonna get that much from selling this card anyways, its not an expensive card to begin with, but i wanna know coz maybe if in the future same thing will happen again but with an expensive card (with finished warranty period)

Selling a card that you know has a broken fan is morally wrong, even if they don't catch on it is a terrible idea. Depending on how much the card is worth to the store it might or might not be a good idea to replace the fan, they aren't expensive but if you won't get much for the card it really isn't worth it.

those fans are pretty cheap actually take it off take it to radio shack and buy the exact same thing and install it yourself

You can buy generic fans, from the Surplus shops, or computer parts near you don't sell it unless, you fix it..they will cheat you if you sell that broken..
