Windows xp not installing after bios update in my laptop?

Hi Friends i am using a Compaq Presario CQ60 209TU Laptop. i installed and used windows 7 original. Now i need to install windows xp. But at first i got the message at the time of installation is "unknown disk". And sometimes i got a bluescreen that messages to update bios. i also referred about that to update bios. i downloaded the bios for that board and installed it. after the bios update also i cannot able to install windows xp. Please give a correct way to solve this problem.
