Dell Laptop stuck on loading screen?

I have a Dell XPS M1530 with vista (wish I didnt) and whenever I try to turn it on it gets to this screen: http://www.petri.co.il/images/vista_boot_screen_1.gif Before that screen I have the option to Launch Startup Repair or Start Windows Normally. Neither work it still gets stuck on the loading screen. Sometimes after a while I see a quick flash of the blue screen of death right before it restarts, sometimes it's just stuck on the loading screen forever. I've tried booting with the Vista Recovery disk, went into BIOS and changed the boot order so it boots the CD/DVD drive first, and it still gets stuck on the loading screen. I've tried booting in safe mode, that just runs a whole list of things real quick and them immediately restarts the laptop. I'm really hoping I'm just not doing the recovery disk correctly and I wont have to replace my HD. Any ideas?

Answer:
you have to make sure your recovery disk is bootable. you need to use a software like magic iso in order to do that and make sure you burn it at a slower speed like 8x to make sure it is bootable.

Vista is a piece of junk - I've got it on one laptop at home and while it hasn't been as bad as some people say, it still has serious issues. You probably have restore files on a partition on your hard drive.
