My webcam keeps freezing. Why?

Webcam keeps freezing with wireless?

  • Hi, i am using a belking G wireless router and webcam on msn freezes after a few seconds, this also happens while viewing people's cams on blogtv.com or viewing my own. Do I need to buy a new wireless router or what might the problem be? p.s. my wireless security is "unsecured", may that be a problem? Please answer asap, thanks! :)

    sounds like lag, i would reset the router or power cycle it (unplug then plug back in) then secure the encryption by using WPA2 (thats in the router config page, which u get to by typing the router ip address into your web browser, u can find that address in the manual). chances are, since its unsecured people are using your bandwidth. if those 2 things dont work then it might be a virus, i would run a scan with avira or AVG. if it still doesnt work then you simply dont have good enough internet.

you need to unplug routers from the main power every six weeks or so. Only for about a minute, then plug back in. Ring Belkin about a password for it, they'll talk you through the procedure. I had cars queuing outside here with the drivers using their laptops. It slowed down this PC tremendously. Once I got a password, they stopped queuing, and the speed on here has been ok since.
