Where is Bouna Vista CC?

Should I download 32-bit Windows 7 on a 64-bit Windows Vista?

  • I have a dv1235dx entertainment laptop which is running on Windows Vista 64 bit OS. I want to upgrade to Windows 7 32 bit since a lot of my school's software aren't compatible with 64-bit OS. Is it a good idea to download 32-bit system that is configured to run on 64 bit OS? Will it create any conflicts with the drivers? Here is the specs of my PC:- http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01631361&tmp_task=prodinfoCategory&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&product=3860525

  • Answer:

Well, to be honest, go with 64 bit, because: 1) You have enough RAM to get really good performance from 64 bit. 2) You CANNOT go from 64 bit to 32 bit, Windows will not let you install. I tried.

you can only upgrade 64 - 64 or 32 - 32. You will need to do a fresh install which will delete everything. Unfortunately your cpu does not support xpmode so your bound to a 32b os in your case orif needed a dual boot 64 on one and 32 on the other partition.
