Where to buy computer parts/computers online?

If one wanted to buy computer parts to build their own PC, which site, or sites, offers the best prices overall? Also, most whole computers sold at the stores are a bit over priced and underpowered. Are there any companies that sell entire "premade" gaming computers that are actually a good deal, or are all "premade" computers overpriced and of inferior quality? I have yet to find a company that makes acceptable gaming computers at reasonable prices.

When I started I went to Altex. But since they are local to where I live, and probably not for you I wouldn't recommend it. If you have a local computer shop chain or a best buy walk in and ask a geek squad what you would need. They will list parts that are mainly, motherboard, CPU,graphics card, power supply,hard drive,case etc. and just google research the info. Different web sites offer different web prices on items but I would say its best to start with the item that you specifically want in mind.
