Windows 2000 Professional to Windows XP problem?
-
I have a laptop dell latitude D630. When I start it it always asks me to choose the operating system either Windows 2000 Professional or Windows XP when I select Windows XP it tells me Windows 2000 could not start because of a computer disk hardware configuration problem could not read from the selected boot disk. Check boot path and disk hardware. Please check the windows 2000 (TM) documentation about hardware disk configuration and your hardware reference manuals for additional information. But if I select Windows 2000 Professional it starts just fine. How do I fix this????

Answer:
It looks like someone tried to install windows xp on your laptop, and something made him not to complete the installation. That's why it seems to be there but is not. I think that it's simple for you to format C/drive ( probably both are there )
