How does "Nivo Slider" work?

Ipod volume slider disappeared!!!! Help PLZ!!!!!?

  • I've had my ipod 2g for well over a year and it wasn't until a few weeks ago that it started to give problems. First the sleep button at the top of the ipod refused to work but that somehow worked itself out. Next the stupid device kept taking screen shots of itself. Then that worked itself out. Then it crashed completely and when I finally got it working again all my songs and data were gone...the blasted ipod restored itself to factory settings. I tried my best and held onto what little patience I had left for this piece of crap. I slowly put a good portion of my songs back on and it worked fine....for about 2 weeks. Today as I was listening to my music, the volume bar/slider disappears and along with it, the sound from my music. The speakers don't work either. The only sound comes from the alarm sounds and even then i have to have my headphones in. If someone could please please help me find a soloution it would be greatly appreciated. I have looked for a solution myself but I couldn't find diddly squat. And yes I have turned it on and off numerous times and i have restored it but the volume slider/bar is still AWOL. I've already made up my mind to go to the apple store tomorrow but it turns out i can't live even 1 hour without my music. (How friggin' sad is that??) Seriously...any help at all would save me a lot of grief. PLZ

  • Answer:

If the volume slide bar is disappearing it may mean the earphone receptor that you plug them into is having problems and that it is not recognizing that the earphones are plugged in or even that you want to hear any sound at all. A common reason this happens is that over time when people wrap there earphones around there iPod the earphone plug loosens the receptor and disconnects from the inside. You the only real solution for this is to have it fixed by a professional. As for all your other issues try resetting the iPod completely, leaving it off for a while (a couple days), and then plugging into iTunes. Hope this helped!
