Why did Katie Couric edit Sarah Palin's answer down to, "You know, you can see Russia from Alaska", from......?
-
"Well, Alaska's geographic position makes our relations with Pacific Rim countries a great strategic import, and we're the air crossroads of the world. Russian bombers often play cat and mouse with our Air Force near Alaska's airspace. I have dealt with Canadian officials on a weekly basis and have signed agreements with them concerning everything from security to salmon fishing, and, of course, NAFTA has significantly affected our economy." "The melting polar sea ice has created new trade routes, but has also created great security threats to North America. Alaska routinely takes on Japanese and Russian fishing trawlers that want to ravage our ocean floor. There is a delicate balancing act required to manage and responsibly develop our abundant wildlife resources." "The Chinese and Russian energy companies had both sought access to, and possibly control of, our natural gas resources. These countries were staking their own resource claims in Arctic waters while the U.S. sat on its hands. Alaska contributes a great deal to the US economy and it has the potential to help the nation reduce its dependence on foreign energy sources." "You know, you can see Russia from Alaska."

She's a liberal. Honesty means nothing to a liberal in the media. All they care about is The Agenda.
Because the chipmunk we call 'Katie Couric' sees it as her job in life to demean and belittle Republicans.
We all know Katie has a brown spot on her nose from Obama.
She didn't. As much as you don't want to believe it, she really is that dumb. She reminds me of Gracie Allen, without the charm.
There is no way that's a direct quote from Sarah Palin. It is far too coherent, and lacks her usual interjections of folksy colloquialisms. Her sentences simply aren't constructed as well as those are. Additionally, she never said the exact words "You know, you can see Russia from Alaska." In her interview with Charles Gibson, she said "You can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JXL86v8NoGk&feature=related Listen to this clip of her interview with Katie Couric, and tell me if it sounds anything like the scholarly oratory you present as hers. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gk8moOxzlGQ&feature=related
hm, you use quotes but supply no source...no wonder people find Conservatives gullible.
Source? Or is that just what you wish she said?
I don't think it was actually Katie Couric that did it, it was the supposedly impartial media big wigs, that would have and did do everything possible to get 0bama elected.
So, is that the latest chain email? I'm not buying that that was her real answer.
