How to get a deep, raspy singing voice?

Will i lose my sinnging voice or will it get better?

• kso, my voice was sounding raspy after i came from my home country and i went to the voice doctor n she said that my voice sounds this way becuz of the mucous going in my throat (ewww). so she gave me a spray to spray in my nose everynight before sleeping. ive been using it for a long time and the doctor said tht if it doesnt work in a month i will get a small operation. I dont know if the spray is working but my nose is getting runny by the day i cant even sit in class properly. So what i think is i might get the operation and if i get it will i lose my sinning voice?? i really dont want to, i love my singing voice. if i lose it i will cry so badly. Singing is my hobby n if i cant do it properly then :( will i lose my sinnging voice or will it get better???

  Any throat operation risks damaging or changing your singing voice, especially an operation specifically for your voice. I suggest asking your doctor about this before going in for the operation, because it is possible it will make your voice even better :) but it could also kill it
