idk, but swelling of the lower body can mean kidney problems. Maybe you should check his meds for kidney problems. fyi, many (all?) blood pressure meds damage kidneys but not as fast as high blood pressure does of course. fyi a form of b6 has been patented for improving kidney health, and a form that works similar is P5p (NOT B6 itself). Also thiamine helps but it does ot stay in the blood stream long so people are using benfotiamine, a form from onions, which is not water soluble. I take Thorne Basic B 2x/day whic has P5P. I recommend people take all B vitamins together since they work together and it is common to be deficient. My system is being too slow. It sounds like your husband's ankle edema may be heart related, despite a normal blood pressure. He should see his physician. In the meantime, he should continue to take his current medications, limit his salt intake, and elevate his lower legs. Make the appointment for the near future, but a trip to the emergency room is not necessary unless he should develop shortness of breath.

He has "LOW THYROID" that causes lower limbs EDEMA (Fluid accumulation) there. It can be a complication of the drugs taken. See a Doc.
