What can you do about swollen ankles?

Does anyone know what might cause swollen ankles?

  • hi, every now and then I get swollen ankles, you can see the bump and its a bit sore to the touch, but not while walking or anything. I go jogging and go to the gym quiet regular so i am quite fit.. Could it be water retention? I am 5'3 and weigh 115. Thank you for any help

  • Answer:

It most likely is water retention. When was the last time you had your blood sugars looked at and have had you blood pressure checked. What you can do to help and even prevent retention is raise your feet for a half hour or even an hour while watching tv at night. This will help drain off the water. If this keeps up talk to your doctor you may require a water pill to help. Good luck.
