Is having a higher pulse rate healthier?

Resting pulse rate of 87-90 bpm for a 22 year old female. How long will it take to lower it down?

  • I am 22 year old female. A few months ago i was experiencing palpitations like increased heart beats on certain occasions and a slow recovery heart rate after exercising. This got me worried and the problem got worse with my anxiety.......... I hv consulted 2 doctors and got my ECG done 2 times. Both came the same..............They were normal with no heart ailments but showed Sinus Tachycardia and the heart rate was 120 bpm at that time( thats because i was damn nervous and anxious inside while getting the ECG done). Then i was advised to do an ECHOcardiogram done.................. and also came normal. Showed nothing....the reports said normal except ofcourse sinus tachycardia..heart rate...130bpm resting.( I donno wat happens to me in the clinic while getting the test done....i cant control my fear.) At home i take my pulse it comes 84 bpm resting. sometimes even 90 bpm. I am really worried about my health. I want to bring this pulse rate down. Is it normal to have this high a pulse rate at my age???...................... If I jog regularly.....how long will it take to bring my pulse down to 70?? someone please advice???

  • Answer:

my heart rate is never less than 100 some times during exercise it goes to 170 and i am totally fit done all my tests, later my hemoglobin increased from 12 to 14 and my heartrate got lowered its normal if doctor says so just check your hemoglobin sometimes less hb can lead to more heartrate

A normal heart rate should be around 90 bpm so don't be so worried. Recovery rate after exercising is gradual so it is supposed to be slow O.o. Don't worry so much, young people don't generally have severe heart diseases.

Average heart rate is between 60-80. Normal heart rate is between 60-100, but can be as low as 50 bpms. Reduce caffeine, sugar. Exercise as you are doing. Some people just have higher heart rates. It is normal. Take care
