Is there anything I can coat my wedding band with to prevent allergic reactions to the nickel?
-
Me and my husband just got married a little over a month ago. Last week I started noticing that the skin right underneath my band is irritated and itches. I have been putting lotion etc. on it, but it just keeps getting worse. My ring is made out of 10K white gold and I think that I'm having allergic reactions to the nickel. Is there anything i can do to prevent that? Like a coat or something similar i could put on it? Thank you!

Answer:
I agree with Femdyk - I coat the backs of ear rings with clear nail polish and it prevents the allergic reaction to the ones high in nickel.
