What motivates you to workout/get fit/stay fit?

I'm working on weight loss right now but I haven't had any motivation to work out the past few days plus I've been sick. I enjoy working out because I know I'm helping myself in the long run. I tried to pump my head up with all the cute clothes and shoes I will be able to wear. All the guys I will attract. New people I will meet. I even think of the guy who hurt me while I work out so when im all finished I can smile while they look at what they've passed up. There's also things I will be able to ENJOY doing. I also think about seeing guys faces who wouldn't give me the time of day before and being rejected by the "new me". (sounds a bit bitchy) I also can't wait to see what's been hiding under all this weight. Most of all I can't wait to enjoy myself as a happier me. I only got fat to experiment with myself and it made me miserable in the process. That sounds like a stupid idear but i did it to see who would stick around. I've now decided I will never go over my max weight limit EVERRR again once I get back down to size.

Though I personally work out to tone my body rather than lose fat, I have some tips for you. First off, you're doing the right thing by thinking of the benefits. Yes, imagine those new shoes and the attention from guys, and how good you'll feel when you're skinnier. When you think of giving up, remember these benefits! Having friends there to work out with you may motivate you, as you have moral support and are doing this as a partner thing. Friends can encourage you when you feel like giving up, and in return you can do the same for him/her. Change your lifestyle to accomodate your goal of losing weight. If you're serious, you do, yes, need a lot of dedication to lose weight. Make your schedule flexible to fit workouts during the week, take the extra effort to prepare healthier foods to eat, and walk or bike when you can. Take the stairs instead of the elevator. There are a lot of incredibly simple ways to exercise! I hope you find these tips somewhat motivating/helping, and I hope you achieve your weight goal!

my motivation is being healthy, feeling good, playing sports, being able to fit more into my day, looking smart (well fitting clothes etc), looking healthy, seeing how fit and healthy my girl is, making her happy and not worry like she would if i was unhealthy... sounds like you have some problems to deal with in your head..
Well what keeps me motivated is knowing that I'm better than what I do than most others... Im a long distance runner.. and I lift weights.. dont stop just because you feel sick I've always ran no matter what I felt I've had my socks freeze to my feet, my running pants freeze to my legs, my eye lids freeze shut, then there's the 80 degree weather, a few times I even tried running with a compression fracture on my T-11 vertebrae. Now I'm a long distance runner I'm 15 and I'm running usually 15 miles a day and I lift weights, I bike, I hike, I swim... 3 years ago nobody would have even thought I would be this way... thats what motivated me I knew I could change, so I did now the jerks who were once laughing at me wont even look at me. The first day I ever ran was the best summer of my entire life I spent almost all of my time biking and swimming, I had a friend that would jump of the piers all over town with me almost everyday I lost some weight doing that then when my bike went to hell and I didnt have any dough I decided that I would start running so I followed my friend on his bike where ever we decided to go.. a few weeks later I was running 5 miles on my own just for the hell of it.. then the next November I bought a starting weight set..
