How to gain weight in a HEALTHY mannerism ? help please?

  • I need assistance in gaining weight. I am about 15-20 pounds underweight & do have some slight eating issues but I am currently on working toward gaining 10 pounds right now in the next MONTH. how can i effectively do this in a healthy way? i am not about to gorge on chips and cake and junk crap to gain weight because then i will only run into more problems later in life. I am so bony on my back and chest its terrible..how can i ensure the weight goes to my bony back rather than my stomach? i DO NOT want my stomach to not be flat. my family has issues with fat collecting in the lower stomach area and i hateeeeee it. i don't want that - i think it's nasty. how can i gain this weight in a healthy way & ensure the weight gained will go to the areas on my body that need some fat? (my back, chest etc.) and how can i gain 10 pounds in a healthy way? i can't eat a lot at once so i believe smaller meals will be more effective. please, if you're going to answer make sure to try & best answer all of these questions. and please be aware of the fact that i stated i have slight issues eating so do not be rude. thank you. i am also an 18 (almost 19) year old female if that makes any difference here!

    I'm so glad you want to take the right way about this! First off, you should incorporate health fats into your diet, like olive oil, avocados, nuts. Also, whole grains, lots of fiber, and protein, and carbs, too. If you want pasta, I would suggest choosing whole grain. It's a great extra health boost! I would also suggest lean red meats and chicken, and also fish. Salmon is high in HEALTHY fats, and it's so good! Eggs are also great for breakfast (or lunch or dinner for that matter). Greek yogurt with fruit is an excellent source of protein and calcium. With your new diet, you should also exercise at LEAST 15 minutes daily. Don't be afraid of working out with weights, either. Weights will help you build muscle mass, of course. You could also start abdominal work outs as well. Core balls are great work out tools. Just google "core ball workouts" for some great ideas. You don't need to have a core ball, though. You can do sit ups, leg lifts, planks, etc, in your bedroom. You can google "Ab workouts" for ideas like this, too. (Google's the best!) I hope this helps!
