What to charge for private home care?

How do I determine the proper rental to charge a senior citizen for independent care in my home?

• My husband and I are planning to purchase a lovely ranch style home in Savannah, GA in order to provide a home to 2-3 independent seniors who would otherwise be living in isolation. We will provide light housekeeping, laundry, three meals a day, activities and community service involvement. We are focusing on them living in the whole house, not simply their bedroom. While we envision the home, we are having a difficult time determining how much to charge for the room and the services provided. We currently live in Delaware and I am not sure how to research other similar services. It seems most seniors either live at home or in a larger senior community. Can anyone out there help us????

  Simple you go online and search Assisted Care Living and check the prices others charge. Over charge you don't have any takers and undercharge and you will go broke. The State Office of the Elderly should also be able to provide what you need. In NY you would have to be certified by taking classes to open such a home
