First off, the BBB will give a high mark to anyone that pays them. They are a joke! Next, there is no company out there that can do anything for you for a fee, that you cannot do yourself for free. You need to gather your bills & get them in front of you. It's hard to say who to negotiate payments with first, because I don't know if you are a) just over your head but not behind in payments, b) behind in payments but only by a month or 2, c) WAY behind & all are ready to be charged off, or d) already in chargeoff status & they have been or are ready to be sent to collections. Can you give more info? How many accts are you talking about? Are you behind on payments, with which one & by how many months? How much is owed for each & how much are the minimum payments. You can call the creditors & ask them to work with you. I'm familiar with many companies & their willingness to work with you by many years of helping folks on the myFICO forums site.

The best credit card relief company is none. If you use a relief company, then you cannot get credit card debt relief. You can get credit card debt relief only if you do not use a relief company.
Take Charge America. They cut my payments in half. They are accredited by the BBB and have an A+ rating. I've paid off my debt twice with them.
